Karate team kata is a form of karate popular around the world and particularly in Japan, where the first All Japan Championship was held in 2022. A team of three performs techniques with precision, synchronization, speed and intensity. One element that sets it apart from the individual discipline is the performance of bunkai, which demonstrates how kata are used in the presence of an opponent.
