Pavlo is a soldier and has to go to the front. His grandmother Tetyana really wants to say goodbye to him first. But Tetyana isn't sure whether Pavlo even wants to see her.
A la demande d'un dénommé Myroslav, Lydia prend dans sa voiture, au départ d'Odessa, Tanya, une vieille femme qui veut plus que tout revoir son petit-fils Pavlo avant qu'il ne parte au front, afin de lui remettre un mystérieux violon.
