On The Wing traces the art of flying in all its various forms in this exploration of the relationship between natural and mechanical flight. The film features spectacular high-speed sequences of insects in flight, Andean condors, Mexican free-tailed bats, re-creations of the Wright brothers' 1902 Glider and 1903 Flyer, and QN-THE TIME TRAVELLER(TM), the lifelike replica of the prehistoric pterodactyl Quetzalcoatlus northropi.
