Yuuji is still a first-grade student, he is having a very hard time understanding what has happened to his mother and the fact that she won't be coming back.

Takumi élève seul son fils de 6 ans (Yuji) depuis la mort de sa femme (Mio) un an plus tôt. Yuji est persuadé que quand la saison des pluies commencera, sa mère reviendra comme elle l'a décrit dans le livre qu'elle lui a dessiné avant de mourir. Dès les premières gouttes de pluie, Yuji s'élance dans la forêt suivit par son père. Dans la vieille maison en ruine (où ils avaient, tous les trois, l'habitude de venir), ils découvrent une jeune femme amnésique... ressemblant trait pour trait à Mio...
