Japanisch oder thailändisch? Libanesisch oder marokkanisch? Mexikanisch oder brasilianisch? Spanisch oder bretonisch? Wer hierzulande Lust auf internationale Küche hat, wird schnell fündig. Kaum eine Nation der Welt, die nicht hier vertreten ist. Zwar streitet die Politik noch darüber, ob Deutschland ein Einwanderungsland ist oder nicht. Kulturell und kulinarisch ist es das aber längst. Denn alle Zuwanderer bringen ihre ganz eigenen Traditionen und Bräuche mit und damit auch ihre ganz spezielle Küche. In vielen deutschen Städten können Hungrige mühelos eine kulinarische Weltreise machen, so vielfältig ist mittlerweile das Angebot. Das gilt auch für den Südwesten: für Baden-Württemberg, das Saarland und Rheinland-Pfalz sowie die Nachbarn Frankreich und Luxemburg.
