Tripp gets dumped by Lana, the prettiest girl in his class so he's inspired to write a new song, "I Wanna Punch Stuff." Meanwhile, Tripp surprises his band mates with a visit from professional mixed martial arts fighter and former roadie, Ernesto the Besto, who unbeknownst to Tripp, has a bone to pick with Iron Weasel.
When Tripp finds out that Arelene, an annoying classmate, has a record producer for a father, he takes her out on a date in order to help out the band. However, a new Iron Weasel demo called "Annoying Arlene" accidentally falls into her hands. It's now up to the guys to get the CD back before anyone hears it.
Tripp gets Iron Weasel parts in a horror film called "Spiders, Snakes, and Clowns". Unfortunately, the band is too scared to be a part of it, Burger being afraid of spiders, Derek being afraid of snakes, and Ash being afraid of clowns. Izzy tries to convince the director to let her be the part of the film.
Tripp gets back with Lana and encourages her to be less materialistic. But with Lana's new attitude means that she will not splurge money unnecessarily, that includes not hiring Iron Weasel for her birthday party and multiple monthly parties. Derek, Burger and Ash come up with a plan to try to change her attitude by throwing a party for Izzy to make Lana jealous.
The band holds a Rocky Fantasy Camp, a day camp where kids learn how to play a few songs and fulfill their dreams of being rock stars. When the guys realize that rock superstar Eddie Nova's kid is enrolled in their camp, they promise to turn his son, Junior, a quiet, classic cellist into a rock star, in exchange for being the opening act in Eddie's next tour.
