This is super awesome news for minecraft xbox fans, "minecraft xbox one" edition is confirmed! Based on the time they have to work on it and the power they have to work with, I'd imagine the game will be updated to a version far past the 360 version, either up to date with PC or very close, with lots of xbox exclusive stuff (I'd imagine stuff like servers and accompanying mods, 16 or 32 player multiplayer, that sort of stuff) all in all making the console version stand alongside the PC version, rather than sitting of to the side like it is right now.
