Tony bittet Jeannie inständig, nie mehr auf ihn zu warten. Jeannie schwört den heiligen Eid der hilfreichen Geister. Wenig später wird Tony von den beiden chinesischen Geheimagenten Wong und Chan entführt. Die beiden wollen militärische Geheimnisse aus Tony herauspressen. Jeannie kann ihm nicht helfen: Wenn sie ihren Eid bricht, verliert sie ihre außergewöhnlichen Fähigkeiten. Allerdings gibt es eine Möglichkeit: Wenn sie Tony hilft, kann sie Rogers hilfreicher Geist werden.
Tony, frustrated over Jeannie's constant use of magic to help around the house, makes her swear not to help him out anymore under any circumstances. Jeannie agrees, but it's bad timing. Seconds later, Red Chinese spies visit the Nelson home asking for Tony. They kidnap him at gunpoint, and if Jeannie uses her gifts to rescue Tony, she'll lose him as a master. Tony, meanwhile, is being held at shacks along the shoreline, where the criminals aim to make him reveal classified secrets through torture. A beautiful Chinese woman is also in on the scheme Jeannie manages to spy on the spies, reporting back to Roger (who in turn, reports to Dr. Bellows, who reports to Gen. Peterson). After several back-and-forths, Jeannie finally learns that the spies intend to kill Tony by making him drink poisoned tea. Roger convinces Jeannie to temporarily let him be his master, so she can skirt the rules and rescue Tony in time.

Tony faz Jeannie jurar que não fará mais nada para ele. Tony então é raptado por agentes secretos chineses e Jeannie não pode ajudá-lo. Se o ajudar, perderá seus poderes. Cabe então a Roger salvar Tony e convencer o General Peterson de que o Dr.Bellows está louco.
Cansado de Jeannie con su magia en la casa le pide a Jeannie que prometer no usar su magia para él. Lo siguiente que sabe es que él es capturado por Red espías chinos y todo Jeannie puede hacer es mirar.
