A fazék és a bot megunják egyhangú, szürke életüket és elindulnak a nagyvilágba. Némi kaland után egy véletlen folytán hirtelen gazdagok lesznek – egy fazék aranypénz kerül a birtokukba és gyönyörű álmokat kezdenek szőni jövő életükre nézve. Igen ám, de a bot kapzsisága véget vet a barátságnak. Az orvul megszerzett pénz, gonosztett gyümölcse, csak rosszat hozhat a botra, aki elnyeri végül megérdemelt büntetését.
The cooking pot and the walking stick get tired of their monotonous and grey life and take off into the big world. After some adventure, by accident, they suddenly become rich – a pot of golden coins come into their possession, and they start weaving wonderful dreams regarding their future life. Well yes, however, the greediness of the walking stick ends the friendship. The coins acquired by deceit, the spoils of a cruel misdeed, can only bring misfortune to the walking stick, who finally earns his well-deserved punishment.
