In this episode of How to Drink, I’m making a classic cocktail, the Whiskey Smash. This one goes back to the birth of modern cocktails in the 1860’s when Jerry Thomas published “The Bon Vivant’s Companion.” It’s quite a bit like a Mint Julep when you get right down to it, though much less sweet than most of the Juleps I’ve had. This a cocktail that you can not go wrong with and will most likely always enjoy. Cheers!
