Connie Fisher's story starts backstage as she begins her journey from telesales girl to leading lady, culminating in a glittering opening night at the London Palladium.
Graham Norton presents a musical spectacular teaming the stars of the BBC's West End talent searches. In 2006, Andrew Lloyd Webber set out to solve a problem like Maria, in a bid to find a leading lady for his revival of The Sound of Music; earlier this year, he went looking for a young man deserving of Joseph's Technicolor Dreamcoat. Connie Fisher and Lee Mead were the stars he found - or rather made - and now, the pair come together in this entertainment extravaganza. Connie and Lee will be joined by contestants from How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? and Any Dream Will Do, as well as Denise Van Outen (currently appearing in Rent and a one-time judge of the Josephs) and John Barrowman (who has recently released his own album and was a judge on both shows). As well as the performances, the show goes behind the scenes to see what each of the stars has been getting up to since they won.
