ある日の「ホテル・イン・ヒューマンズ」。生朗がホテルの顧客リストを整理していると、一人の常連を名乗る老人がやってくる。名前は鈴村篤彦。その最後の宿泊は、約２０年も前のことだった。混乱する生朗は、受け取った荷物から篤彦が認知症を患っていることに気づく。生朗は沙羅と共に、篤彦を連れて、娘の葉月の元へと送り届けることになる。その道中、篤彦は殺し屋としての過去と、娘との昔話を始める。
