Takemoto cooks for the carpenter, and they seem to like the food he prepares. Takemoto calculates that he will work for ten days until he is able to buy a new bicycle. Meanwhile at the Fujiwara Design Office, Rika ask if Yamada could work with her, since she takes an interest in Yamada's pottery. Mayama becomes worried when he hears the news. Takemoto reluctantly wants to stay with the carpenters, since they love his cooking. He gradually starts finding himself after bonding with the carpenters. One of the carpenters lends Takemoto his bicycle as well as a map, giving Takemoto quite a surprise. The carpenters say farewell to Takemoto, as he leaves to finish the rest of his journey.
修復士たちの下で働き始めたものの、いきなりの修復作業に全く役に立たない竹本。しかし、食事の準備などを完璧にこなし周囲を驚かす。そして、彼自身も皆に喜んでもらえる現状に満足し始めてしまうのだが、修復士の中には、そんな竹本のことを快く思わない者もいて…。一方、東京では、理花が真山に、山田に器の製作を依頼したいと申し出るが二人を合わせまいと真山はそれを断ってしまう。しかし、理花からの依頼のことを直接知った山田は、そんな真山の気持ちに対して悩んでしまう…。
자아를 찾기 위해 여행을 하고 있는 다케모토는 부셔져버린 자전거 대신 새 자전거를 사기 위해 자신이 쓰러졌던 사찰에 머물면서 일을 도와주기로 한다. 다케모토는 사찰에서 밥을 짓기도 하고 수리하는 일을 도와주면서 생활한다. 사찰에서의 며칠 동안의 생활을 통해 선배들이 입버릇처럼 했던 말인 학교에서 배운 지식이 사회에서는 도움이 안 된다는 사실을 절실히 깨닫는다. 하지만 밥을 지어 주고 그 밥을 맛있게 먹어 주는 사람들을 보면서 소박한 행복을 느끼기도 한다. 그런 다케모토를 못마땅하게 생각하는 로크타로는, 자아를 찾기 위한 여행 같은 건, 여유있는 사람들이나 하는 일이라면서 다케모토를 몰아붙이는데...
