Dead Weight

Al se rozhodne pro velký krok. Chce požádat svou přítelkyni Trudy o ruku. Než to však udělá chce se poradit se svou matkou v místní oblíbené francouzské restauraci, kde opodál sedí také Tim a Jill, aby poté mohli tuto radostnou událost společně oslavit. Když však Al matce prozradí své plány s Trudy, jeho matku Almu postihne infarkt, který však nepřežije. Al je v šoku a matčinu smrt si vyčítá.

Al lädt seine übergewichtige Mutter zu einem Essen ein, bei dem er sie in seine Heiratspläne einweihen will. Doch in dem Augenblick, als Al seine Hochzeitspläne bekannt gibt, fällt seine Mama tot vom Stuhl.

Tool Time continues to be a "jewel" despite the continued excess presence of the Binford name. Things rapidly turn sad when Al decides to take his mother out to dinner to tell her he's going to get married... and she has a heart attack and dies.
