Ve stejném studiu, ve kterém se natáčí pořad pro kutily se natáčí pořad o vaření. Jeho hlavní představitelka Irma však musí náhle odjet a poprosí Tima a Ala zda by za ni nebyly ochotni týden zaskakovat. Oba souhlasí, ovšem tentokrát si vymění role. Al bude moderátorem a Tim asistentem. Randy je zamilovaný do své spolužačky Beth a tak mu jeho bratr Brad s přítelkyní Ashley domluví rande.
Irma, die Moderatorin einer Kochsendung, bittet Tim und Al um einen Gefallen. Da sie verreisen muss, sollen die beiden vertretungsweise für sie vor die Kamera gehen. Doch schon bei der ersten Sendung der Aushilfsköche geht natürlich alles schief, was nur schiefgehen kann.
When Irma can't host her show (Cooking with Irma) for a week, she asks Al to fill-in as host and Tim to be his assistant. Tim has a hard time not being the center of attention, but when Jill shows him that he can assist her he decides to continue to help Al. Randy finds it hard to talk to a girl in his class named Beth.
