The set for Jack's stand-up performance is in a Manchester church where he is joined by Lancashire cricket legend Freddie Flintoff and music guests Maverick Sabre. But before putting on the show Jack shares his experience of Manchester, staying with a local family and joining in with a cabaret night by dragging up as his new alter ego Vera Gwendolyn. He also goes undercover as a music guru to see how far local bands will go in order to get a contract and be part of the great Manchester music tradition, as well as posing as a tattoo artist to test how important Manchester football rivalries are.
