Kenichi Shirahama macht am ersten Tag der Oberschule Bekanntschaft mit einer neuen Mitschülerin: Miu Furinji. Um sie zu beeindrucken und sein Image als Loser loszuwerden, tritt er dem Karateclub bei - doch dort ergeht es ihm nicht besser! Dann erzählt ihm Miu vom Dojo Ryozanpaku.
While running late for class, Kenichi bumps in to the new transfer student Miu. At the karate club, Kenichi is challenged by another student Daimonji for a match. With the loser losing the right to be a member of the club. On the way home, Kenichi is awed when he sees Miu easily defeat a group of thugs. On Miu's advice, he heads to the Ryōzanpaku dojo to train in martial arts.
Alors qu'il court pour arriver en classe, Kenichi rencontre Miu, une élève nouvellement transférée. Au club de karaté, Kenichi est défié par Daimonji. Le perdant devra quitter le club.
