Ne reconnaissant plus John qui s'est laissé happer par le pouvoir maléfique d’Hypnos, Klaus trouve refuge dans un temple. Grâce à l’aide de Captain 3 rivières, désormais moine bouddhiste, il entame une retraite spirituelle et suit un entrainement pour se préparer à la mission qu’il doit accomplir : sauver John de lui-même. Sa quête le mènera à vivre une suite de péripéties et d’épreuves qu'il devra surmonter.
