Zentaur Deric und seine schöne Frau Lyla wären restlos glücklich, wenn nicht einige Männer in ihrer Umgebung immer wieder gegen die Ehe der beiden pöbeln würden. Als Deric einen von ihnen öffentlich zurechtweist, brennt dieser aus Rache das Haus der Liebenden nieder. Lyla kommt in den Flammen um. Hercules findet als erster die rauchende Ruine.

Bigotry thrived like an infection in the town where Lyla lived with her centaur husband, Deric, and their son Kefor. Residents like Cletis, Merkus and Jakar were openly opposed to Lyla's marriage to a centaur. Their group, the Cretans, torched Deric's house in the name of "Athenian purity", killing Lyla. Deric, in turn, killed Cletis and Merkus in self-defense. Jakar then kidnapped Kefor and incited the town locals to lynch Deric. Hercules eventually rescued Deric, who was being stoned by the mob. Deric regained his freedom, his son and his wife, whom Zeus brought back to life.

Les habitants d'un village n'acceptent pas l'union d'une femme (Lyla) avec un centaure (Deric). Ils décident d'incendier la maison du couple, ce qui tue la femme. Hercule aura fort à faire pour éviter que la colère du centaure ne se transforme en bain de sang.

Una famiglia di centauri si trasferisce a vivere in un villaggio cretese. L’odio razziale si fa immediatamente sentire. Hercules lo convince a consegnarsi alla giustizia cretese, ma gli assassini di Lyla rapiscono il piccolo Kefor. Hercules lo libera e Giove, nella sua immensa bontà, restituisce la vita alla moglie del centauro.

La intolerancia prosperaba como una infección en la ciudad donde Lyla vivía con su marido centauro, Deric, y su hijo Kefor. Habitantes como Cletis, Merkus y Jakar se oponían abiertamente al matrimonio de Lyla con un centauro. Su grupo, los cretenses, incendiaron la casa de Deric en nombre de la "pureza ateniense" y mataron a Lyla. Deric, a su vez, mató a Cletis y Merkus en defensa propia.
