Thirty years ago, a newlywed couple were murdered at the Cold River Motel in a satanic ritual. Today, a group of true crime enthusiasts have been invited to the motel reopening, where they discover history might be repeating itself.
Trapped by the raging storm and unable to call for help, the guests retreat to their rooms, uncertain who among them is the killer. Meanwhile, two strangers seeking shelter hide their true identities from the others.
Fear and paranoia drive some of the guests to take part in something unspeakable.
When the storm temporarily subsides, the guests attempt to leave the motel and find help. Others try to figure out who the other killer might be.
