A Hawaiian Nightmare

Kredithai Vince Bonner hat einen Mann, der bei ihm Schulden hat, in die Enge getrieben. In seiner Verzweiflung erpresst dieser Mann nun den Gouverneur von Hawaii: Er droht dem Politiker, ganz Hawaii in die Luft zu sprengen, wenn er nicht 500.000 Dollar bekommt. McGarrett und seine Mannschaft übernehmen den Fall. Zur Unterstützung bekommen sie den Sprengstoffexperten Bernard Brown zugeteilt. Brown glaubt, dass das Ganze nur ein Bluff sein kann – eine lebensgefährliche Meinung.

A geophysics expert, Bernard Brown, is heavily in debt, so he comes up with a plan to cause an explosion in the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, which will cause lava to pour all down the hillside and into the city of Hilo, unless the Governor comes up with half a million dollars as a ransom.
