Case # 1 Donna Wagner in Stratford, CT, has had a ton of paranormal activity that includes seeing the apparition of a child, glass spontaneously shattering and her tenants getting scratched! Why is this happening all of a sudden? Donna is visibly shaken. In her home is an antique lamp that serves as a cigarette lighter, a pool table that belonged to the deceased former owner who had a troubled past, and a statue that the tenant had left behind: it was of her father, and it had been made in Belize. Could it be that the statue is cursed?? During the daytime sweep the team leave little cars in hopes of summoning the apparition of a child. They also marked the area with chalk to note any suspicious movements in the space. Meanwhile, John and Beth find they can't keep any batteries working in the basement, which could be attributed to a paranormal energy drain. Meanwhile, Aimee's research reveals that the home used to be a sanitarium! A neighbor who lived near the house as a youth said people often went into the house, but never left… That night, the guys return to the apartment to see that one of the cars had moved. But they also notice that the floor is tilted, which rules out paranormal activity—darn. Yet, in the basement, John and Beth once again experience battery drain even after using a new recorder and new batteries. Then John hears a voice and spots a crawlspace. Bryan goes in and finds a bunch of bottle toppers and a broken bottle. An antiques expert says the bottle was used to store poison. Donna is adamant that John remove the bottle, and she's clearly upset that her house was a sanitarium. Case #2 Next, Gary at the Hose Company No. 3 and Historical Museum in Pueblo, Colorado is having some trouble. According to Gary, two vehicles started up and traveled on their own and he's also heard voices and breathing. Reportedly, a child died in the building years ago so this could offer some explanation for the paranormal occu
The team examines a Civil War-era "pain bullet" found in the backyard that may be causing paranormal activity in a house in Sharpsburg, Maryland. Then they travel to River Vale, New Jersey, site of the Baylor Massacre where a 21-year-old college student is the victim of the malevolent spirit of a British Revolutionary War soldier who keeps pinning him down to the bed while he sleeps. They also believe the owner's wood carved statue from the Bahamas ties in with the hauntings since the practice of obeah is steeped in sorcery and folk magic.
John and the crew meet a woman named Michelle from Fairfield, CT who is hearing banging noises and something is scratching her horses. Michelle lives in a loft apartment near the barn where she keeps her animals, which she relies on for income from children's parties. Her property is jam packed with antiques, a gargoyle and a bizarre wood carving that Michelle buried down the road. The team investigates the home of a man and woman named Eric and Jessica. Eric has been taunted and scratched by ghosts with no explanations! The torment has made such an impact that Jessica has actually left her husband. The dogs have gone crazy to the point where one of the dogs chewed off its own tail.
The Hulbert House, a 200-year-old Inn in Boonville, NY, has a history of guests that check in but never check out…alive. In the 1970's, the 3rd floor of the building was closed off, but owner Eileen Esch reports that renovations on that floor have awakened some unhappy spirits. People have been pushed and shoved on the stairs and their hair has been pulled. Apparitions of a colonial woman and several children have been spotted. The next day the team goes to the King House, the most haunted building in Mayport, Fl. Homeowners Ed and Kay Hurst report that a woman in white is haunting their home. Kay has been touched, a picture they found in the house continues to fall from the wall and they hear voices. A parrot speaks to a "Howard", when no one has spoken that name to it. The anxiety is too much for Kay to handle!
John and the team head to Warwick, New York to check out claims of paranormal activity at Silvio's Italian Villa Restaurant. Owned by newlyweds Frank and Valentina Muto who live on the upstairs floor, this quaint, Colonial-style building has recently become a hotbed of unexplained events. Then the team travels to Stephenson, Virginia to meet with Tonie Wallace, owner of Historic Jordan Springs Event and Cultural Centre. Built around ancient mineral springs, the sprawling property is known for alleged supernatural activity that is threatening Tonie's business– and Tonie herself.
David Riccio's cigar bar and cafe in Boston's North End has seen an increasing amount of paranormal activity. (Though the bizarre statues probably don't help spooked out people relax!) Claims are dishes flying, an antique coffee grinder spinning on its own, plates flying and something is knocking the coffee out of people's hands. Dave wants John to figure out what's going on!
