Father Godfrey Nzamujo has set up the Songhaï Centre in Porto-Novo, the capital of Benin. The centre plays several roles. It features a system of organic agriculture based on preserving biodiversity and recycling, it provides accommodation and houses a restaurant, serving products grown on-site, and food production is carried out there, with a sales outlet. But Songhaï is above all a quality assurance scheme - the first of its kind in Africa.
