A street artist named Sarah has led a tough life being orphaned at a young age and having to fend for herself. Although she hardly remembers her parents, she longs to be in their presence. Sarah’s gift for drawing comes naturally, and oftentimes she finds herself drawing images from folklore; frightening images that she sees in her dreams.Sarah is not alone in the slums of Jakarta, she is joined by her boyfriend Coki, and her best friend Pinung. Sarah’s friends are convinced that she has not let go of the past and what happened to her parents, which is why she keeps drawing the gruesome images she sees in her head. Pinung discovers the countless drawings Sarah has of a strange man on her wall, and Sarah confesses that she does not know who he is.The ordinary life she has longed for for so long is about to become even further out of reach as she finds herself the target of beings called Demit - the same mythological creatures she has been drawing from a world that mere mortals like herself know nothing of.
Desperate for some answers and convinced that she will find them, Sarah heads to the house of a friend who was murdered a few days ago and whom she always gifted drawings in exchange for food. It is at his house that she meets the mysterious Detective Gusti, who recognises some of the characters in her artwork. Meanwhile in the Demit world, major events are starting to unfold as The Gift draws closer and the search for the parchments continue. Gusti who is aware of the half world informs his boss Juragan of Sarah’s existence.The unrest in Sarah’s heart grows as the day goes by and she suspects that she is being followed. In her state of paranoia, she almost attacks Coki and she is unable to explain the drawings of the strange man to him.
After being attacked at a café, both Sarah and Pinung are still shaken and they find themselves face to face with Detective Gusti once again. Little does Sarah know that he is keeping tabs for Juragan and is keeping him updated on Sarah’s whereabouts. Gusti advices her not to dig any deeper as she might find herself in more trouble than she can handle. Meanwhile, Tony and Ros, a powerful Demit couple visit the Elders and strike a deal with them, leaving with the promise of bringing back Barata’s head, in exchange for receiving the gift. The Demit that saved Sarah and Pinung from the coffee shop reveals himself as Barata when he visits Sarah at her home that night. Before he disappears once again, he warns her to get rid of all the drawings. Sarah starts to realise that perhaps there is a Halfworld that exists hidden in the shadows after all.
A badly wounded Barata finds his way to Sarah’s loft after being attacked by Tony and Ros, and she demands that he tell her the truth once and for all. Meanwhile, Coki has his first encounter with a Demit, and she is none other than Nadia. Still shaken, he visits Pinung with questions of his own. Oblivious about the half world, jealousy brews within him and he becomes increasingly frustrated with Sarah’s secretive behaviour. Gusti makes another visit to Juragan with Marni by his side. She pledges her allegiance to him and in return he promises her The Gift. With The Gift being promised to so many, who can you really trust?
Pinung finds herself in a sticky situation with Marni and Sarah rushes to her aid. Just as the cat and mouse game is coming to an end, Barata intervenes and a fight between the two Demit ensues.The search for Barata carries on, with time running out for Tony and Ros. To make matters worse for the duo, they have yet to find the other symbols before they can receive The Gift. Frantic and hungry for power, they hunt down Hasan once again. True to her word of serving Juragan in return for receiving the impending Gift, Marni informs Juragan about Barata’s return and reminds him of the incompetency of Nadia, the Demit who has served Juragan’s family of judges for hundreds of years. Enraged, he dangles the only bait he can use in front of her to continue doing his bidding.
It is just days before The Gift, and the Demit world is in a frenzy over who will receive it. The most eager of them all being Tony and Ros, who will stop at nothing to get what they want. No one is spared from their wrath, not even the Demit Elders. Barata and Sarah meet and he reveals the half world to her. Coki sees them together in her loft and a fight breaks out between them. Gusti intervenes and leaves with Barata. However their escape is short lived as their car is ambushed by Tony and Ros, who are here to finish what they started.
After finding out about the death of his fellow Demit and friend, Gorga reverts to his old ways and goes on a killing spree, vowing to take The Gift as his own. Tony and Ros’ ambush on Barata and Gusti does not go according to plan and their attempt is foiled by a group of Tuyul. The Demit world is plunged further into chaos as The Gift is just days away, and Demit are killing humans in the open. Juragan decides that the time has come, and he pays Sarah a visit, coaxing her to leave with him. She obliges as his promise is too good to reject. Who can Sarah trust in this world? A fellow human? Or a Demit?
Sarah is still trapped in Juragan’s house ignorant of the events that will soon unfold, while Pinung and Coki search desperately for clues to her whereabouts. The Demit that were promised the gift all gather at Juragan’s courtroom, each one blissfully unaware and sure that they will be receiving The Gift. They realise they have been lied to and cheated and promised something that did not belong to them. Who will end up receiving the Gift? Will the outcome be as devastating as it was 300 years ago? Little does everyone know that despite all the clamouring for The Gift, the recipient of this great power had already been decided a long time ago.
A tenacious researcher named Juliet goes to Bangkok to continue her late father’s work on a hidden world of demons and gets more than what she bargained for.
As Fyter spends more time with Juliet, he finds it harder to kill her. Tony enters the fight tournament in Soi P to win an exclusive session with the Seer.
Juliet tracks Fyter down and arrives at Soi P after Warin’s attack. In the Citadel, Barata almost gets himself killed, but an old friend comes to his rescue.
An important fight between Tony and Thip will determine who wins a session with the Seer while Barata reveals to Kaprey the reason he has returned to the Citadel.
Thip meets with Wish who reveals the way to the Kris of Amorana. Mick finally catches Pym and Fyter is left with an important decision to make.
Fyter, Mick, Wish and Juliet fight their way into the Citadel to retrieve the Kris. They meet Barata and must decide whether he is a friend or foe.
An unexpected death in the Citadel changes everything.
Fyter brings the Kris to Thip, while Tony finally meets Wish to get the answers he has been searching for.
