随着中国第一艘航母平台开始出海试航，中国海军成立舰载机试飞大队，攻克舰载机着舰和起飞技术这一世界性难题就被提上了日程。海军功勋飞行员秦大地被上级擢选为试飞大队的大队长。为了集结一支高强战斗力的队伍，他到处广纳贤才。海军、空军的新一代“空中之王”谢振宇、余涛和各飞行部队的顶尖飞行员都调入了大队。年轻的战斗机飞行员们传承老一辈的“海空雄鹰精神”，凭借超一流的飞行技术，攻克一个又一个技术难关，终于成功地驾驶战机在航母上实现起降。中国航母终于成军，谢振宇和余涛率领中国舰载机机群在辽阔海空上展翅翱翔。海天之上，他们又一次“战斗起飞”，豪气直冲云霄！
