This episode begins with a figure in a spacesuit (Heero Yuy) setting bombs, then fades to Gundam engineer Doctor J, apparently imprisoned. He talks to a shadowy visitor about history and his young protege as the person in space suit tries to escape the facility he has just sabotaged. The guards catch up to him, but he uses a nearby Virgo II mobile doll to distract them and escape to his machine - Wing Zero. Heero uses the twin buster rifle to break out of the base's hangar, but loses the weapon in the escape and resorts to using a Virgo II beam rifle. He is chased by several Virgo IIs along the length of the facility, which is actually a gigantic colony cannon. After dealing with his pursuit, Heero attacks the cannon directly with his beam rifle as the bombs begin to go off. Doctor J finishes his narration, commenting to his visitor (now revealed as Relena Peacecraft) that he chose Heero's codename personally. As the colony cannon explodes, Heero flies away to his next mission.

Questo episodio inizia con una figura in una tuta spaziale (Heero Yuy) che posa bombe, poi si affievolisce all'ingegnere dottore J di Gundam, apparentemente imprigionato. Parla con un oscuro visitatore della storia e del suo giovane protetto mentre la persona in tuta spaziale cerca di sfuggire alla struttura che ha appena sabotato. Le guardie lo raggiungono, ma usa una vicina bambola mobile Virgo II per distrarli e scappare verso la sua macchina: Wing Zero. Heero usa il fucile a due buster per uscire dall'hangar della base, ma perde l'arma nella fuga e ricorre all'utilizzo di un fucile a raggi Virgo II. Viene inseguito da diversi Virgo II lungo tutta la lunghezza della struttura, che in realtà è un gigantesco cannone della colonia. Dopo aver affrontato il suo inseguimento, Heero attacca il cannone direttamente con il suo fucile a raggi quando le bombe iniziano a esplodere. Il dottor J termina la sua narrazione, commentando al suo visitatore (ora rivelato come Relena Peacecraft) che ha scelto personalmente il nome in codice di Heero. Mentre il cannone della colonia esplode, Heero vola verso la sua prossima missione.
