The episode focuses on Meme during the events of the previous weeks. On June 12th, she gets a bottle rocket tested out by the bottle rocketeer, who suddenly asks her to marry him. Whilst avoiding him for a week, Meme recalls 28 years ago when she first met Elliot, the boy who would become Erio's father. Meme later visits the rocketeer to refuse his proposal, later learning he had mistaked Maekawa for Erio whilst trying to woo Meme with his rockets. Meme then convinces her granny to accompany her for the launching of the bottle rockets at the beach, pitching the whole thing as an attack on aliens.
女々は田村商店を度々訪れ、店主の老婆の世話をしていた。夫に先立たれた上に体調が悪く、生きる気力を失っている老婆をどうしたら元気づけられるか、女々は考える。
考えた末に、ペットボトルロケットを作り始めた彼女は、試射のために廃校のグラウンドを訪ねて、前川さんにロケット作りを依頼した男と遭遇。実は男は、女々の子供のころの友人だった。男の名前を思い出せず、適当に山本と名付けた女々は、彼にあることを依頼する。

El episodio se centra en Meme durante los acontecimientos de las semanas anteriores. El 12 de junio, se encuentra con el cohetero botella, que repentinamente le pide que se case con él. Mientras que intenta evadirlo por una semana, Meme recuerda hace 28 años cuando conoció a Elliot, el niño que se convertiría en padre de Erio. Meme más tarde visita el cohetero de rechazar su propuesta, después se entera de que había confundido a Erio con Maekawa, tratando de cortejar a Meme con sus cohetes. Meme luego convence a su abuela para acompañarla para el lanzamiento de los cohetes de botella en la playa, lanzándolos en un ataque a los extraterrestres.
