Azil and Güneş's car breaks down during their trip, leading to the revelation of a shocking truth about the death of Güneş's family; the mechanic claims the accident was actually a planned murder. While Güneş is devastated by the possibility that her family was deliberately killed, Azil decides to join her in the search for the truth. Meanwhile, Osman tries to prevent an ambush planned against Azil and, in the ensuing confrontation, accidentally shoots his own son, Mehmet. Gravely wounded, Mehmet fights for his life, while Osman is crushed by guilt. At the hospital, upon learning that Mehmet was shot, Nermin develops an irreversible rage against Osman after discovering the truth. As the family falls apart with the reality that Osman "shot his own son" and the household's equilibrium is completely shattered, Azil discovers that Mehmet and Ziya are responsible for the attack on him. At the same time, he begins to consider distancing himself from Güneş to protect her.
