Juliana takes Joaquin to a new doctor who confirms that Joaquin is in good condition. Because of this, she decides to allow him to stay in Malaya as long as he will be accompanied by a bodyguard. At the same time, with the help of her friends, Chichay gets a chance to apply for a scholarship grant. Her parents also assure her that they will strive hard to keep her from dropping out of Malaya. Jaime then persuades Joaquin to tell her mother the truth about Chichay but he refuses, saying that it's useless because he doesn't love her anymore.
