We will open the series in late November with a brief look at the present – the 2018 season of the VLN Endurance Racing series, portraying the key teams and protagonists of this unique series. Where highly-professional GT3 teams fielded by the major manufacturers and private, very much grass-roots motorsport teams share the same pits – we experience motorsport in its purest and unabridged form.
Andreas & Ralf Schall: The record-breaking family. More than 102 race wins, 80 for his father Andreas, and 5 overall wins each. No other name has been edged into the in the lore of endurance racing on the Nordschleife over and over again like that of the Schall family. And with cars like the legendary Mercedes 190E Evo II DTM or the Opel Astra V8 Coupe DTM, quite some automotive royalty was involved in collecting those wins.
