Lynne, Sarah, and Jeannie were best friends in law school, now they live together and work together in a large San Francisco law firm to make it big as lawyers, only their egos and personal problems get in the way. At age 27, Lynne takes her first courtroom case of defending a mentally disturbed man for assault, only to self-destruct from her own self-obsession. Meanwhile, office politics plague Sarah who deals with another ambitious co-worker who steals her ideas, and in trying to confront her, only makes herself look like the bad person. Elsewhere, Jeannie deals with amorous advances from a sexist supervisor and she incredibly doesn't know if they are come-ons or just friendly comments.
