25 year old AAKASH is too late! Aakash’s life goes for a toss - before he can propose to her, NEHA is on the rebound and has already found a new boyfriend VISHAL. Aakash’s dad (MOHAN), a tuition teacher, finds out and has a family meeting to address the emergency. Disappointed with his son’s passive dating approach, he suggests a crazy plan – to become a girlfriend chor and break up the new couple. Aakash and his mom (SUNAINA) resist Mohan’s mad plan till they meet RITU at a party, a feisty girl who is very much in love with Vishal. Mohan invites Ritu home and she is all in for being a boyfriend chor. Aakash reluctantly agrees. The four form a team to break up the rebound of Neha and Vishal.
Mohan confidently coaches the friend-zoned duo on how to create trouble for the new couple. Ritu has been keeping an eye on Vishal, Aakash less successfully on Neha. There is trouble in paradise - Vishal smokes constantly and Neha keeps getting irritated by the smoke. It turns out that Neha needs a new place to stay. Rather than breaking up with Vishal for smoking as per Mohan’s plan, Neha actually promises to move in with him if he quits. When this news reaches them, Ritu and Aakash are stunned. They intervene desperately and Neha ends up moving into a baffled Ritu’s apartment!
Aakash’s parents fake their marriage anniversary as an excuse to invite Neha and Vishal home for dinner. Sunaina talks of Mohan being her soulmate which causes Neha to wonder if Vishal is really hers. Later at night, Vishal gets drunk and talks about his past. Neha is furious and storms out. The couple has a big fight right outside the door with the team listening. When they leave, everyone cheers! The elation lasts until Ritu finds out that the couple is making up by finally having sex, that too in her house. Aakash and Ritu are heartbroken. Aakash’s little brother (PRANAY) doesn’t do as well as expected in his 10th board results. To add to his woes, the girl he likes has topped and she poses happily on the front page of the newspaper with the boy who came second. Sunanina and Mohan are worried to see both their sons depressed.
Lovelorn, Aakash, and Ritu get drunk at night. They sit outside Ritu’s apartment while the lovebirds are inside. Ritu decides to ask Aakash to come upstairs. Aakash is very uncomfortable while Ritu drinks some more. She begins to flirt with Aakash just to spite Vishal. Both Neha and Vishal notice. Unprepared, Aakash pushes Ritu away, but they share a blanket as they watch a web-series. Something begins to spark in Aakash. After Neha goes away to sleep, a drunk Ritu and Vishal talk in the balcony, and Aakash feels an unexpected pang seeing them together. He leaves. Hopeful, Ritu reminds Vishal about the time he had once kissed her. The next day, Ritu is hurt when Neha and Vishal announce they are moving in together. Mohan and Sunaina confront their younger son Pranay who accuses them of ignoring him and concentrating only on Aakash. Someone tells Sunaina that it could be their bad karma that is affecting their children. Guiltily, she hunts down her ex-boyfriend RAJEEV on Facebook.
Sunaina forces Mohan to meet Rajeev and apologize for what they did to him. She feels it will lift the bad karma that is affecting her boys. Rajeev is now a successful professor in London. Mohan gets insecure when he sees the newfound camaraderie between him and Sunaina. Mohan and Sunaina awkwardly apologize at the end of the meal and Rajeev remind them that there is no good or evil in love, what matters ultimately is being happy. Mohan is not happy at all when Sunaina invites Rajeev to visit them sometime. Ritu more closely. She decides to leave for Delhi, to get away from it all. Aakash realizes that he has developed strong feelings for her. He doesn’t know what to do. Meanwhile, a turn of events leads to Neha and Vishal breaking up. Ritu lands up at Aakash’s home one night to give the good news and to announce to the team that she has a date with Vishal! But Aakash has understood that it is no good or evil in love – he vows to become a successful girlfriend chor!
