In the first episode of this new series, Saffron Events owner Hassan and his team of wedding planners are preparing for the biggest and most spectacular wedding of the year so far. Nineteen-year-old student Eman is organising her brother Hassan and his bride to be Aneesah’s wedding. They will be hosting a series of lavish events, at home and at venues across Glasgow, and have called upon the wedding planners to help stage the biggest and most exclusive of their events. The Saffron events team are also busy planning a joint Walimah reception for Muna and Ausat, whose sons Amar and Hasaan have recently both tied the knot with their brides. Mother of the grooms Muna wants this event to have a distinctively different feel, with an opulent but ‘shabby chic’ theme. With guest lists of 550 and 350 people across both events, the pressure is on for the wedding planners to deliver for both families.
In this episode, the wedding planners are arranging a number of show stopping events for two young couples. 23-year-old medical student Raeesah and 24-year-old fiancé Tanveer are planning their wedding and Walimah. For Raeesah’s family, this is a happy but emotional time as the young bride will soon leave home to live with her groom. In Wishaw, 35-year-old self-confessed Bridezilla Syra is planning her wedding to childhood sweetheart Amar. This is Syra’s second marriage, after she divorced 5 years ago. This time, she’s in charge of every single detail and the Saffron team are tasked with making sure her big moment goes without a hitch.
In the final episode of the series, Saffron Events owner Hassan and his team of wedding planners help arrange a wedding for one family preparing to say goodbye to their daughter as she will leave home to live with her groom in London. The team also arrange a spectacular Walimah reception for a family preparing to welcome a new daughter in law into their family home. In Edinburgh, young bride Shakira and her family are preparing for a traditional Bengali wedding, before she bids an emotional farewell to her parents and siblings and moves to London with her groom. And on the Ayrshire coast, at one of the most exclusive wedding venues in Scotland, the wedding planners put on a lavish Walimah reception for the Tariq family, whose son Hamzah is tying the knot with London based Huma. After the wedding, Huma will move in with Hamzah
