Meanwhile, in Dixon, Leah visits her stables in an attempt to bring back memories of Daniel, but it goes very wrong when she is run over by a horse and left unconcious and bleeding.

Now that Evan has proof of Tyler's existence, he asks for Jake to use his detective skills to help find Tyler, but a broken-hearted Jake refuses to do anything for anyone. Meanwhile, with Avery recieving help, Amanda focuses on being a great mother for JC, and Alyson works her first day as a double agent against Blake.
Violet mourns the death of her sister Rose on the anniversary of her death and eventually has an intense dream that takes place in an alternate universe where Rose is still alive... but how would life change with her still in it?
Evan, struggling to discover the truth about Tyler's abduction on his own, asks Violet to help him find broken-hearted Jake a rebound to make him happy again, and Violet turns to Alyson. Amanda, waiting for Avery to be released from her treatment facility, visits a family member in prison. Meanwhile, Charlie learns about Evan's goal to find Tyler and worries for his safety, knowing that it won't be easy finding the truth.
Avery is released from the treatment facility along with a proposal for Amanda, which she accepts, and they have a small wedding in City Hall officiated by Violet. Meanwhile, with his and Madison's wedding approaching, Charlie begins to wonder if they moved too fast too soon, and Alyson is discovered by Blake to be a double agent. The episode ends with a cliffhanger of Evan being kidnapped and dragged into a van.
In the winter finale, Evan wakes up in a warehouse on the day of his father's wedding with a reporter holding him hostage unless him and Charlie can share private information about the Coleman family. Evan, suspecting this could be related to his recent efforts to find Tyler, believes he is a step closer to finding Tyler. Meanwhile, Violet and Charlie both worry about Evan's whereabouts, and Jake finds out the truth about Alyson.
In the spring premiere, a flashback episode goes all the way to 1995 to discover the entire truth about the abduction of Tyler Coleman, and back to the present to discover the identity of Vera Stone.
Charlie recovers in the hospital as he tells Evan and Violet about the woman he saw save his life, who, unbeknownst to him, is Vera, who has gone undercover in the hospital to keep an eye on her father. Evan and Violet, happy to be together again, search for Vera with the information Charlie gave them. Meanwhile, Alyson pays Jake a visit to apologize for giving him hope of a relationship, but the encounter ends up in another hookup.
Avery, Amanda and JC take a road trip to Canada for a relaxing mini-vacation, but it gets hectic when the owner of a production agency overhears Avery telling her story in a coffee shop and claims her story is so interesting that he would like to make a movie recreation about it.
Alyson is relieved that Blake hasn't tried any tricks recently, but Violet finds the quiet suspicious. Meanwhile, Charlie asks Evan if he has any progress on finding the woman who saved his life and Amanda learns Mackenzie has been released from prison.
Lauren informs Violet and Alyson that she just lost her job at Waterwood Minerals because Blake just bought the company, so Violet hires Lauren as an intern. Evan gives up hope on trying to find Tyler, and Avery meets with Kara, the producer of her movie, where she discovers her multi-million dollar salary.
Violet confronts Blake about buying WM and he tells her to watch out. Alyson reveals to Lauren that she got together with Jake, and notices that Lauren seems jealous. Meanwhile, Evan finds out that living in a Tyler-free life is harder than he thought, and Avery's movie begins production in Hollywood, and Avery panics about having to fly there to oversee filming.
Alyson realizes that she might have feelings for Jake, but before she can act on them, she discovers that Lauren and Jake have gotten back together. Violet feels confident when Blake suggests they take Dixon's ownership to court. Amanda experiences boredom and wants something more.
Violet and Blake fight in court over the land of Dixon. Amanda randomly takes a job interview for a position at a publishing company in California while Avery tries to calm her nerves on the way to the airport. Alyson tries to meddle with Lauren and Jake's seemingly happy relationship, and when that is unable to break them up, she turns it up a notch.
Avery, now back in Dixon, reads an email notification that pops up on Amanda's phone informing her that she got the publishing job, a position Amanda did not tell Avery about, making her wonder if Amanda is keeping any other secrets from her. Also, Lauren confronts Alyson for trying to ruin her and Jake's relationship and the final verdict for who obtains full ownership of Dixon and Norcross is made.
As the family celebrates Violet's win, Avery and Amanda announce they are leaving Dixon to go explore and pursue their dreams in California. Meanwhile, Alyson plans the town's grand celebration gala, Charlie recieves an invitation to coffee, and Violet chooses the town's new name in memory of her sister.
Rose Valley's celebration gala doesn't go as planned when an uninvited guest shows up to cause mayhem and get revenge, putting some of the family's lives in danger. Meanwhile, Avery, Amanda and JC say goodbye to their hometown and Charlie has coffee with Vera, who finally tells him the shocking truth about her identity.

With Alyson in a coma, Jake harbours hidden feelings during a visit to see her. Meanwhile, Lauren holds down the fort at city hall and Evan tries to make up for lost time with Vera but she begins to feel uncomfortable.
Violet, recently released from the hospital, is told to "take it easy", but she finds it difficult to do so with her various responsibilities as mayor. Meanwhile, Evan attempts to successfully manage his time between Violet and Vera but he quickly gets overwhelmed, and Alyson awakes from her coma and realizes how lucky she is to be alive.
Alyson battles feelings for Jake and mayoral responsibilities, all the while trying to stay positive and be there for Violet and the rest of the family. But how much pressure can she hold before she get crushed?
