Episode 32

Monty plants a hawthorn hedge in the orchard, prunes a climbing rose and starts to plant tulips for next spring. He puts his dahlia tubers into storage and offers some timely advice for protecting plants over winter. Arit Anderson visits a nursery in East Sussex that specialises in hardy perennials and ornamental grasses, while Sue Kent meets a gardener who has radically transformed the topography of her plot to create a richly colourful and immersive space. There’s a community garden in central London that has become a welcoming hub and a place to learn for local residents. And a couple in Hawick in the Scottish Borders share their fascination for the mysteries of moss.
