Miaka has made it back to the real world, but to her surprise, Yui is nowhere to be seen! After discovering that only two hours have passed since she came to the library, Miaka returns home, but predictably no one believes her story about the Universe of the Four Gods, and her brother even warns her to stay away from the book in future! Despite his warning, however, Miaka begins to suspect that Yui must have been drawn into the book when she was sent home, and resolves to return to the Universe of the Four Gods in order to find her friend.
太一君と朱雀七星士の力により元の世界に戻ることができた美朱。だがそこには自分を必死に呼び戻してくれた唯の姿がない。唯の行方が判らぬまま、一度家へと戻った美朱は本の世界であった全ての出来事を兄・奎介（けいすけ）に話す。だが奎介は二度とその本に近づくなと忠告をする。しかし、本の中に残してきた鬼宿たちの事が気にかかってしまう美朱。そしていまだに行方が知れない唯の事も。唯は自分と入れ替わりで本の世界に迷い込んでしまったのでは……。唯を探すべく再び四神天地書の世界へ戻る決意する美朱。だが、現実世界とは時間の流れる速さが違い、再び本の世界へ戻った時には、すでに3ヵ月という時がすぎていたのであった……。
Miaka ha vuelto a casa, y descubre sorprendida que han pasado apenas dos horas. Pero el problema es que no encuentra a Yui. Ya en su casa, le explica a su hermano todo lo sucedido, que la cree, pero le advierte que tenga cuidado con el libro. Dándole vueltas al asunto, Miaka cree que lo que le ha pasado a Yui es que ha sido absorbida por el libro cuando ella ha salido, y decide rescatarla.
