Joey verpasst D.J. wegen eines Vergehens Hausarrest. Doch dann plagen ihn Zweifel, ob seine Härte überhaupt gerechtfertigt war. Der Familienrat tagt. Während Danny und Jesse einen Auftritt im Frühstücksfernsehen haben, hat Joey die Aufsicht über die Kids übernommen. Doch es fällt ihm ausgesprochen schwer, sich ihnen gegenüber mit der gebotenen Konsequenz durchzusetzen. Prompt nutzt D.J. seine Gutmütigkeit aus und kommt viel zu spät nach Hause. Als Joey ihr daraufhin einen erzieherischen Vortrag hält, reagiert sie schnippisch und wird mit Hausarrest bestraft. Diese Entscheidung ist Joey allerdings nicht leicht gefallen und ihn plagen innere Zweifel ob seiner Härte. Daraufhin beruft Danny den Familienrat ein, der Joeys Verhalten vollauf bestätigt. Nun ist D.J. natürlich beleidigt. Doch es kommt zu einem klärenden Gespräch zwischen den beiden.
Teaser: Jesse is weight training with Michelle "Superbaby" Tanner. Main Synopsis: While Danny and Jesse are out, Joey is left in charge of the girls. D.J. and Stephanie want to stay up late so they can watch a Tiffany concert on TV. When Danny comes home and sees that they are up late watching the concert, Danny tells Joey that whenever Joey is at home alone with the girls, he needs to make them follow the rules of the house, so on the next day, D.J. arrives home from school an hour late without telling Joey that she was with friends, practicing for an hour for an upcoming karate tournament, and Joey grounds D.J. -- for the weekend when the tournament is scheduled to take place. D.J. becomes furious, angrily reminds Joey that he's not her father, and then storms off to the bedroom that she and Stephanie occupy. Later, Joey goes upstairs to the bedroom, where he explains that after school, during the hour when he didn't know where D.J. was, he was scared to death. D.J. agrees that she
Danny attrape Joey laissant D.J. et Stéphanie veiller tard, et lui indique qu'il devrait être plus ferme avec les filles. Mientras Danny y Jesse están fuera, Joey es el que se queda al cargo de las chicas, las cuales quieren quedarse despiertas hasta tarde para ver un programa de la televisión. Cuando Danny llega a casa y ve a sus hijas despiertas tan tarde, le dice a Joey que cuando esté él al cargo debe asegurarse de poner límites y de que las chicas cumplan las reglas. Al día siguiente Joey está nuevamente solo con ellas y cuando D.J. llega tarde de su entrenamiento de Karate, esté se enfada y le prohibe salir el fin de semana, el mismo fin de semana que ella tiene un torneo de Karate muy importante. Ella se enfada también y le grita que no es su padre. Después tienen una conversación donde se arreglan las cosas.
