Dolf Goldsmith is a renowned author and machine gun expert, having written landmark books on the Maxim, Vickers, and Browning machine guns, and having been an avid shooter and gun collector for more than 60 years. We had the pleasure of speaking with him at the SAR West gun show last month, and did an interview on tape. I haven't published this until now because I've been working on the sound - there was a lot of background noise, and we were using a poor microphone. I've cleaned the audio up (couldn't do anything about the train whistle, though), and transcribed subtitles for the dialogue. Mr. Goldsmith is one of those rare elderly collectors who is both extremely knowlegable about historic firearms and also in touch with current trends and excited about what the future will bring.
