A physician charged with manslaughter, fleeing from the police, is faced with another life-and-death decision on "Emergency," the third drama in the Ford Theater series. Starring in the role of Dr. Harvey Barron is motion picture star Richard Conte. Dr. Barron, in flight from the manslaughter charge forces young Doris Reeder (Randy Stuart) and her family to hide him until his friends arrive to smuggle him out of the state. An unexpected complication occurs when Doris' younger sister, Alice (Mae Clarke) develops acute appendicitis and heavy rains cut off all avenues of escape. The doctor is forced to choose between making good his escape or being true to his physician's oath.
