Military historian Norm Christie goes to Canadian battlefields, monuments and cemeteries to present the Second World War from the point of view of ordinary soldiers who tell their stories in their own words. A mixture of archival footage, photographs, artwork and re-enactment creates a sense of what it was really like to fight "For King and Country."
