After 10 years of Fixer Upper, Chip and Jo go big with their next project to revive a lakehouse estate stuck in the 1960s. Chip tackles major structural room shifts to accommodate Jo's blend of two very different design styles.
Chip and Jo come up with ways to highlight the outdoors in the living space and make it a feature of Jo's midcentury modern and Spanish revival design, as well as maximize the incredible cliffside view of the property.
With drywall complete, Chip and Jo focus on custom millwork projects designed to reinvigorate the home's midcentury modern character in nearly every room of the house. The two also decide to add a charming water feature to the outdoor courtyard.
Chip and Jo merge midcentury modern and Spanish revival design styles with custom metal and plaster texture in the primary bath and volcanic ash floor tile in the recreation room. Outside, Jo questions a decision about copper gutters.
Jo finalizes the design for a showstopping midcentury modern staircase for the grand entry, while Chip restores the home's original hardwood flooring and installs one-of-a-kind features that define the kitchen, library and outdoor areas.
Chip wraps up construction and Jo starts styling the house. To celebrate 10 years of Fixer Upper, Jo plans a big surprise for Chip on reveal day: special guests Tim Tebow and Robert Griffin III. Then she ends up surprised herself with more friends!
