In episode 119 I introduced you to my Caddy, which I bought to turn into a drag race and landspeed car. The goal is to run 8s in the 1/4 mile and 200 mph in a standing mile event while still cruising this luxurious behemoth on the street. In today's video, we completely strip the '61 down to a bare shell and then anger Kar Kulture Karens everywhere by cutting out the rust-free floors and trunk to make room for a new mandrel bent chassis. It's gonna be an awesome project car thanks to the dudes at MRC Fabrication in Kendersville, North Carolina. This shop specializes in off-the-deep-end builds and can custom build a chassis for nearly anything. Visit the shop's instagram profile ( MRCFABBULLARD ) for more photos of the build and all the other stuff they have created.
