ขณะที่นนท์พยายามซื้อบ้านหลังเก่าของเฟิร์นคืน เฟิร์นก็เริ่มชีวิตใหม่ในนิวยอร์ก เธอได้พบกับวิลสัน ชาวอเมริกันเชื้อสายไทยและสามารถหางานทำในบริษัทของเขาได้ วิลสันกลายเป็นเพื่อนสนิทเพียงคนเดียวของเฟิร์น แม้ว่าดูเหมือนว่าความรู้สึกที่เขามีต่อเธอจะเกินเลยไปมากก็ตาม ในไม่ช้า ความสัมพันธ์ของพวกเขาก็เบ่งบานเป็นมากกว่ามิตรภาพ

While Nont attempts to buy back Fern's old house, Fern begins her new life in New York. She comes across Wilson, an American with Thai heritage and is able to secure a job at his company. Wilson becomes Fern only best friend, although it seems that his feelings for her are beyond platonic. Soon their relationship blossoms into something more than friendship.
