Jean Rouch is a Frenchman in his early forties. He originally went to French West Africa as a civil engineer, but became so interested in the people of the region that he turned to anthropology and in 1946 made his first film. Tonight he talks about the films that he has made and shows excerpts from some of them, including Fils de I'Eau, Les Maitres Fous Moi, Un Noir La Pyramide Humaine Chronique d'un Ete.
