为了爱情，蓝小依放弃在杭州的稳定工作，来到了上海与热恋男友田飞团聚。在大城市高消费，低收入的残酷现实下，小依小心经营着两人来之不易的幸福。却不料，遭富家女小露挖墙脚，田飞终抵不住功名前程诱惑选择了小露，并与之结婚。婚后小露的蛮不讲理和婆媳关系的日益紧张使田飞深陷痛苦。 蓝小依独自带着孩子，靠自己的努力在上海买到房子。期间富家子"猴子"对其穷追不舍。猴子对小依无微不至的关心慢慢融化着小依防备的心。正当小依的生活步入正轨时，田飞却发现自己对小依旧情未了，当他发现小依有孩子，并偷验DNA证实是自己的女儿后，想要回妙妙，猴子一直在小依母女身边保护。小露与田飞的婚姻也已陷入离婚危机。一次意外的车祸，使田飞成了植物人。小依常带妙妙来唤醒沉睡的田飞，医生确认田飞可以恢复。大度的小依劝小露和田飞好好生活。小依和猴子终于幸福的走到了一起。
