The 1000 km of Monza, or also the Filippo Caracciolo Trophy in some editions, is a speed motor racing race for grand touring cars and sport prototypes that takes place on the Italian circuit of Monza. Since its inaugural edition, it was part of the World Endurance Championship calendar for almost three decades with three exceptions: there was no race in 1978 and 1989, and the 1979 edition was the date of the Group 6 Italian Championship. the most prestigious endurance races in the country, along with the Mille Miglia and the Targa Florio.
