Zabuton (ザブトン Zabuton), also known as Harbinger of Death and Illegal Demon Spider, is a demon spider who came to Hiraku's farm and mother of Makura and Arako. With the offer of being able to provide the source of fabric products (e.g. clothes) in exchange for making a home in his giant tree that dominates the center of his farm. Zabuton acts as the main seamstress and lookout for the farm and later village. She also has many offspring who aid the village.
