Čtrnáctý únor je prostě dnem všech, kdo se mají rádi. O to smutnější je ovšem pro ty, kteří jsou sami. Kteří už mohou na svou lásku jen vzpomínat a litovat toho, co kdysi mohli udělat a neudělali. Jako Andy Brown... Jenomže člověk nemůže žít jen minulostí. Protože všude kolem něj je svět. A ten je krásný...
Als die reisende Psychologin Dr. Gretchen Trott nach Everwood zurückkehrt, bemerkt Andy, wie sehr er sich von ihr angezogen fühlt. Doch er ist noch nicht bereit für eine neue Beziehung und schreibt am Valentinstag zu Therapiezwecken einen Liebesbrief an seine verstorbene Frau.
Die Ehe von Edna und Irv gerät nach Irvs Herzinfarkt in eine Krise. Edna möchte ihren Mann unterstützen, doch der macht sich sowohl über seine Krankheit als auch über Ednas Fürsorge lustig. Und auch bei Rose und Dr. Abbott herrscht schlechte Stimmung, da Harold sich weigert, eine Paartherapie zu besuchen, während Rose sie für unerlässlich erachtet, wenn ihre Ehe weiterhin Bestand haben soll.
When traveling psychologist Dr. Gretchen Trott (guest star Jane Krakowski) comes back into town, Andy is forced to confront his potentially romantic feelings for her. In other romantic entanglements, Edna and Irv have difficulty adjusting to life after his heart attack scare; Harold and his wife Rose (guest star Merrilyn Gann) have it out after they attend couples therapy and she suggests that he's lost that lovin' feeling; and Ephram asks Laynie (guest star Nora Zehetner) out on their first date, in part to show Amy that he's moving on with his life.
La Saint Valentin approche. La psychologue ambulante, le docteur Gretchen Trott, est de retour à Everwood pour l'occasion. Elle profite en effet de cette époque pour parler aux patients en couple. Le docteur Abbott a la surprise de voir sa femme les inscrire pour une séance. Andy se rapproche de Gretchen mais le souvenir de Julia le hante...
E' il giorno di San Valentino e ad Everwood più di altrove lo spirito di questa festa si respira in ogni strada; a confermarlo anche l'arrivo della dottoressa Trott pronta a dispensare consigli per coppie in crisi. Mentre Ephram ha un piccolo appuntamento con Laynie, Edna resta terrorizzata quando Irv viene colto da un improvviso attacco di cuore. Le cose non vanno bene neppure per Harold accusato dalla moglie di non essere più romantico quanto un tempo. Lo stesso invece non si può dire per Andy che ha un incontro rivelatore con la dottoressa Trott.
La Psicóloga ambulante, la Dra Gretchen Trott vuelve a la ciudad y Andy descubre que se siente atraido por ella.Edna e Irv tienen dificultades en su relación, al igual que Rose y Harold, quien deciden asistir a un consejero matrimonal.Mientras, Ephram decide pedirle a Laynie, la hermana de Colin, una cita, aunque realmente lo hace por despecho para mostrar a Amy que él sigue adelante

Enquanto isso, Edna e Irv têm dificuldades em se adaptarem à vida depois da ameaça de ataque cardíaco que ele sofreu. Harold e a mulher Rose, passam por dificuldades depois de fazerem terapia de casal e ela achar que ele perdeu a capacidade de amar. Ephram convida Laynie para um primeiro encontro, na tentativa de mostrar a Amy que está a tentar encaminhar a sua vida.
