The main plot is Magellen (a dragon who has a tail with a mind of its own) and Batly (a near-sighted bat; my personal favorite), challenge each other to a contest to see who can stay awake the longest. Eureeka later joins the contest, and they all share stories of when they couldn't go to sleep other nights.
In this episode Eureeka and the other characters of the show sing some familiar songs with the words at the bottom of the screen.
Eureeka's Castle: Christmas at Eureeka's Castle is another creative offering by Nickelodeon. All of the characters are puppets in this visionary castle. As a sorceress in training, Eureeka meets her share of interesting folks, including the clumsy dragon Magellan and Mr. Knack, the know-it-all bat. Children can laugh and dance with Eureeka in this award-winning program. Eureeka's Castle is recommended for preschool ages.
