María regresa junto a Manuel a La Mancha, el coche sufre una avería y pasan la noche en una finca de un matrimonio extranjero que los reciben con delicadeza. Maria y Manuel se entregan al amor por primera vez. A su regreso, Manuel pide a Justa que se vaya de la finca y esta se traga su resentimiento. María y Pepita deducen que Claudia esta embarazada al ver sus nauseas. María se encuentra con Justa y aunque no le perdona su traición, intenta conservar cierta cordialidad, pero Justa no claudica y aprovecha la boda de Claudia para husmear en la casa de los Cervantes.
A chegada de Manuel força María a escolher entre voltar com ele ou dar uma chance a José. A Guarda Civil interroga Claudia sobre as acusações de Don Ramón.
María returns with Manuel to La Mancha, the car breaks down and they spend the night on a farm owned by a foreign couple who receive them delicately. Maria and Manuel give themselves to love for the first time. On his return, Manuel asks Justa to leave the farm and she swallows her resentment.
